Hi there,
I have been remiss about following up with how Mac is doing. He is such a sweet guy, it didn't take me long to love him - about 2 hours! He has adjusted well and gets along with my other dog, Nihoa. I've attached some pics of him in his new home - one with a toy he's about to tear apart (one of his favorite past times) and the other pic he's showing off in his cowboy costume for Halloween!
Thanks for all you do. Take care.
Kim
Looking Good Mac!!
We've entered a contest though the Animal Rescue Site and Petfinder. The contest was for "Most Touching Story". We have so many touching stories but this one is very recent and most touching. It was so hard to edit it down to just the 300 word limit. You can read our entry by clicking on the link on the main page of our website. We are limited to one entry and the contest ends on December 20th.
I am so proud to be part of this organization!!

Cricket (Midnight081) enjoying spending time with her Dad just enjoying the awesome view. She's such a happy girl with her life now and much prefers this home to the barn she once lived in. Cricket is training to run Marathons together with her mom, Cheryl.
Update from Cricket's Mom: Here's some photos of Cricket. She has learned to shake with both hands, and lay down. Still working on stay. She gets so excited. She's still doing great running with me. We did 8.5 miles. I wasn't going to take her over 5 or 6 but she is like the energizer bunny. So we have been working our way up to longer miles. I bring her some snacks and water. So fun!
I'm so happy to announce that Juneo91 has been adopted and is living in her forever home!!
Want to share her adoption story. The Kramschusters attended the Wigglebutt Walk last month and were very taken with June. They desired to add her to their home but had an upcoming teacher's conference to attend so hesitated. Neil wanted to surprise his wife so made arrangements to adopt June on the QT and said nothing... even after his wife expressed disappointment when she checked the website and saw that June was now Adoption Pending. He got June on Friday and took her home with him to surprise his wife. I'm very sure that all is forgiven now!!
What an awesome surprise!!! Scoring big Hubby Points, Neil!!
June now has a new brother, Jefferson081, who they adopted last November. Congratulations to June, Jefferson and the entire Kramschuster family!!!

Congratulations Happy and Molly!!!
I just wanted to send along a photo of Happy (Harry 071) and me, as it's Happy's birthday. I adopted him two years ago today.
Thank you to all the hard working folks at Shorewood Cocker Rescue for saving him and giving him a chance to have a new life. He is such a wonderful, sweet and loving dog, and I couldn't imagine my life without him. Thank you!
Very sincerely yours,
Molly Nezgoda
We'd all like to extend our heartfelt sympathies to fellow SCR volunteer and Foster Mom, Elaine Zablotski on her loss of Lizzie081.
Lizzie's Memorial is now available on our Memorial Page. We're so very sorry Elaine!!
Rest in Peace sweet girl!!!
